  • 4 large eggs, room temperature

  • 200 g sugar

  • 1 vanilla bean

  • 300 g all-purpose flour

  • 2,5 tsp baking powder

  • 155 ml milk

  • 1 tbsp Star Mix spices (whole)

  • 10 tablespoons butter, cubed

Anweisungen

  • Preheat oven to 175 degrees.
  • In a large bowl, beat eggs on high speed for 5 minutes or until thick and lemon-colored. Gradually add sugar, beating until mixture is light and fluffy. Cut open the vanilla bean with a sharp knife and scrape out the vanilla. Beat it through the mixture.
  • Combine flour and baking powder; gradually add to batter beating on low speed until smooth.
  • In a small saucepan, heat milk with the Star mix spices and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Then strain out the spices and add the butter, until it’s melted.
  • Gradually add to batter; beat just until combined.
  • Pour into a greased baking tin, lined with baking paper.
  • Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 30-35 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
