4 large eggs, room temperature
200 g sugar
1 vanilla bean
300 g all-purpose flour
2,5 tsp baking powder
155 ml milk
1 tbsp Star Mix spices (whole)
10 tablespoons butter, cubed
Anweisungen
- Preheat oven to 175 degrees.
- In a large bowl, beat eggs on high speed for 5 minutes or until thick and lemon-colored. Gradually add sugar, beating until mixture is light and fluffy. Cut open the vanilla bean with a sharp knife and scrape out the vanilla. Beat it through the mixture.
- Combine flour and baking powder; gradually add to batter beating on low speed until smooth.
- In a small saucepan, heat milk with the Star mix spices and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- Then strain out the spices and add the butter, until it’s melted.
- Gradually add to batter; beat just until combined.
- Pour into a greased baking tin, lined with baking paper.
- Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 30-35 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
