Salted kurkuma-orange caramel

400 ml orange juice
100 g honey
1 tsp Golden Salt
Anweisungen
- Fill a saucepan with the orange juice and honey.
- Add the golden salt.
- Heat the pan and let the honey dissolve.
- Reduce the liquid until it becomes darker in color.
- Remove the bag of spices after about 10 minutes when the liquid starts to thicken.
- Reduce to a brown syrup-like consistency.
- It should smell like caramel and have become the thickness of syrup when cooled. (warm it is a bit thinner)
- It is important that at the end when the liquid really starts to caramelize, you continue to stir well with a wooden spoon! This prevents the caramel from burning all of a sudden.
